Burma Tur:Burma origin lemon tur quoted sluggish by Rs.25 at Rs 4,600/100Kgs on subdued buying from millers and tracking weak cues in domestic markets during the evening trade session.
The major factor for reversal in prices was due to diminutive support from retail and wholesale counters across all local markets. Buyers were inactive even at current level as consumption of processed usually drops in winter season due to ample availability of fresh vegetables at very competitive rates and used like a close substitute for processed pulses.
Further, arrivals of new tur had started in Madhya Pradesh/ Vidarbha belt (Maharashtra) and expected to gain momentum in coming days.
Prices are unlikely to sustain at higher rates due to upcoming supply of new tur from overseas, bumper domestic crop, stock limit on domestic traders and stock holding by Government through imports.
